Welcome to my site! I will write here about Arch Linux, open source, my Jolla Devices, Raspberry Pi and other stuff that interests me. Have fun looking around! If you have questions, suggestions or corrections feel free to leave a comment or send me an email.
Normally I don't do advertisement on this blog, but I can't help but tell you about this: Jolla finally revealed their first Phone! Since I'm a big fan of the (discontinued) Nokia Maemo/Meego line (I had every tablet/phone since the N800 and the latest of them, the N9 is still my phone of choice) I'm really happy to see that Jolla, the company founded by former Nokia Meego Team members is finally showing their first phone to the world. We already saw quite some videos of the Sailfish OS in action, but they all where on the Nokia N950 (The Nokia Meego Development device). So now it is here, the first device designed for Sailfish OS.
Head over to jolla.com to see the details. You can also preorder there to show Jolla your support and that there is a market for this phone.
Also today (20.05.2013) there will be a live presentation from Jolla in Helsinki which can be seen here: http://jolla.streamforce1.tv/ at 16:30 GMT.
Since the awesome Dokuwiki Community released a new version this site runs now on the latest release 2011-05-25 aka “Rincewind”. As always feel free to tell me if you find any inconsistency or problems with the site.
UPDATE 2: Since the new release aka “Anteater” is out this site is now using it
UPDATE: The Site is now on RC2 “Busy Wednesday”. I'm still interested in any problems you may encounter.
I have updated the page to the latest Dokuwiki Release Candidate (rc2010-10-07). If you see any problems or bugs I would appreciate If you could inform me so I may forward the bugs to the dokuwiki developers before the final Release.
I switched the URL-Scheme on this site, stripping out the “doku.php” part from the URLs. Here is an example:
Please update your bookmarks/links accordingly (The old scheme still works, since I put a redirect in place).
As you may have noticed I also did a slight redesign of the site. This is still running the excelent arctic template but I did some adjustments using dokuwikis userstyle.css feature. If you have a CSS3-capable browser (that includes all current Webkit- and Gecko-based browsers and Opera) You should now see nice rounded corners and shadow-effects. If you are using Internet Explorer you maybe should switch to a more standards-compilant one . Feel free to let me know what you think in the comments!
Today I switched my dokuwiki installation from the old blog-plugin and the necessary support plugins to the new blogtng-plugin. As far as I can see everything is running fine again after some customization and adjustments. If you find anything that isn't working as expected or looks wrong I would appreciate a comment so I can correct it.
After some time I finally have come around to realize an idea that I have had for some time. I wrote (and still write) a whole lot of scripts to make my daily Computer life more efficient and comfortable. So from today on I will post the best of my creations here on my blog and collect them in a new Category: Seiichiros Scripting Corner or short, the SSC. I hope some of my scripts will be as usefull for readers of this page as they are for me.
