Welcome to my site! I will write here about Arch Linux, open source, my Jolla Devices, Raspberry Pi and other stuff that interests me. Have fun looking around! If you have questions, suggestions or corrections feel free to leave a comment or send me an email.
UPDATE 2: Since the new release aka “Anteater” is out this site is now using it
UPDATE: The Site is now on RC2 “Busy Wednesday”. I'm still interested in any problems you may encounter.
I have updated the page to the latest Dokuwiki Release Candidate (rc2010-10-07). If you see any problems or bugs I would appreciate If you could inform me so I may forward the bugs to the dokuwiki developers before the final Release.
I switched the URL-Scheme on this site, stripping out the “doku.php” part from the URLs. Here is an example:
Please update your bookmarks/links accordingly (The old scheme still works, since I put a redirect in place).
As you may have noticed I also did a slight redesign of the site. This is still running the excelent arctic template but I did some adjustments using dokuwikis userstyle.css feature. If you have a CSS3-capable browser (that includes all current Webkit- and Gecko-based browsers and Opera) You should now see nice rounded corners and shadow-effects. If you are using Internet Explorer you maybe should switch to a more standards-compilant one . Feel free to let me know what you think in the comments!
Today I switched my dokuwiki installation from the old blog-plugin and the necessary support plugins to the new blogtng-plugin. As far as I can see everything is running fine again after some customization and adjustments. If you find anything that isn't working as expected or looks wrong I would appreciate a comment so I can correct it.
Since the first version had problems with the resulting videos beeing out of sync I have rewritten the encoding part to use mencoder. Also you can now use CRF encoding mode in addition to Constant Bitrate encoding. The new version can be obtained from the original site here on my page or from my GitHub Repository. As always I'd like to hear about any bugs, problems, or possible improvements that you might find. Have fun with the new version.
I have opened a repository on github for my scripts. Feel free to have a look: Seiichiros Scripts at github
Recently I switched all my machines from running gentoo to archlinux. Last gentoo-based machine for some time has been my http://www.xencon.net hosted vserver which runs this website and my mailserver. Unfortunalety xencon doesn't provide preconfigured archlinux images like they do for gentoo, ubuntu, debian and others. But since they have an excellent service and therefore I wanted to stay with them as my hosting provider, I decided to take the hard route and install archlinux via the provided rescue system. In the following article I will outline how I did this.
